Healthy Tour Tip # 2
Letterpressing Battlegrounds
Driving through Upstate New York
We have a stuffed chicken that rides with us on the dashboard. her name is Ghost Spice, after my chicken that got killed by raccoons a few years ago. Danielle made her. She has Xs for eyes which is why I decided she was a zombie. We take turns driving. The person riding shotgun is the navigator, and the person in the back is the cook. Though mostly we just “cook” avacado / mustard / kale sandwiches, and handfuls of nuts and raisins.
Upstate new york is full of trees and lakes. No where so wild as the olympic peninsula though. lots of roads criss-crossing everywhere. Its summer, and really hot. Everywhere we see water we see vacationing families, getting baked in the sun.

We listen to books on tape checked out from the library. Vittorio, the Vampire, Dream On (a tell all biography of Steve Tyler from Arrowsmith; woah.), and Man of War, which we never get all of the way through. Its nice to listen to books on the road.
