We letterpressed the first edition of Battlegrounds using an old hand powered proofing press at Comunnity Print in downtown olympia. You have to hand ink the plate for each pass, so it takes awhile. The type is stored in these big drawers, one drawer for each size of each font. 
When you’re all done the type gets locked in a metal frame called a chase, then its ready to be inked and printed.
